Elevated House Plans for Flood Zones
Elevated House Plans for Florida Flood Zones
On many coastal lots in Lee and Collier County, the living floor has to sit well above the ground. These plans are designed for that: the garage, entry and storage are on the ground level, and the main living areas are on the floors above.
There are 11 elevated plans, from 1,934 to 4,853 sq ft, in Modern, British West Indies and Olde Florida styles. Raising the home also gives you views over neighboring roofs and a shaded, usable ground level.
Your required floor elevation depends on your parcel's flood zone. Check it with your county or city before choosing a plan, and have your engineer confirm the foundation design.

Do elevated plans have elevators?
31 of our plans include an elevator. Check the Features list on each plan page.
Do I need an elevated house?
It depends on your lot. Your flood zone and the county's required floor elevation decide how high the living area must be. A survey or the county's flood map lookup will tell you.
Can I use the space under the house?
Ground-level space in a flood zone is usually limited to parking, building access and storage. Your building department sets the exact rules.
What is an elevated house plan?
A home where the main living floor is raised above ground level, usually with parking, the entry and storage underneath. It's the standard approach for coastal flood zones.
